DANG: At least 33 people were injured in a road accident in Dhankhola of Gabardiya-1 in the district along the East-West Highway this morning.

A bus (Na 4 Kha 1076) heading to Tulsipur, Dang from Kathmandu met with the accident, police said.

Of the total injured, critically injured 16 persons are undergoing treatment at a Butwal-based hospital while others at Bhalubang-based health centres.

The accident occurred when the bus hit the electric pole, police added. According to police, the accident occurred as the bus was running at a high speed.

The details of the injured are yet to be confirmed.
