Road alternative to Pokhara-Baglung Highway to come into operation
FALEBAS: The tarmacking of Ghumpti-Lampata road section, which connects Khurkot to half a dozen VDCs of Parbat district has started.
The Baglung Road Division Office has begun tarmacking 4-kilometre long Ghumpti-Lampata road section along the Baglung Highway.
Lawmaker and Nepali Congress leader Arjun Prasad Joshi inaugurated the blacktopping works on Wednesday.
On the occasion, the leader Joshi said the blacktopping of road would improve the livelihoods of people. The Ghumpti-Lampata road section would be spectacular to have direct linkages with northern belt of Parbat, he added.
Further, the Road Division Office is set to enhance the four kilometres of the Ghumpti-Lampata-Himalaya Secondary-Khurkot-Pang-Nuwar road section.
An agreement has been signed with the Jayababa Gorakh Okhaldhunga JB Construction to revamp the road within next 18 months.
