Road to be upgraded

DAMAULI: Sindhulaldhwoj road in Tanahun is  all set to be upgraded after a long wait.

According to Engineer Sushil  Shrestha of the district technicians’ office, YP Construction Kathmandu  has been assigned as the contractor of the project.

“The 12-plus  kilometre road will be 5.8 metres wide and there will be ditches on both  sides of the road,” said Sindhulaldhwoj Road Construction Committee  Chairperson Suryabhakta Bhandari, adding that the estimated cost of  upgrading the road is 95 million rupees.

The project, estimated to be  completed in 15 months, is funded by World Bank.
