Roads to be vacated
KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has made preparations in such a way that the general public in Kathmandu will face minimum difficulties from traffic disruptions during Indian PM Modi’s visit.
MTPD Co-Spokesperson DSP Mukunda Marasini said the exact route of Modi’s motorcade was yet to be fixed, but the police were ready to implement their plan on any route. He added that the traffic on routes where Modi’s motorcade would ply would be vacated for not more than 25 minutes. “The routes have yet to be fixed. Any of the roads can be used.
We will inform the public about an hour before the motorcade arrives via digital displays and banners,” he said.
