KHOTANG: Property worth around Rs six lakh was destroyed when a storm blew away the roof of Mahendrodaya Lower Secondary School in Yamkha of Khotang on Saturday afternoon.

According to Birendra Kumar Rai, chairperson of the School Management Committee, at least eight zinc sheets from three blocks of the school were blown away.

Teaching-learning activities of at least 156 students has been badly disrupted. “Of all, only two class rooms are intact whereas rest of the classrooms have been damaged,” said Rai.
