KATHMANDU, JANUARY 21
A Royal Bengal tiger was found death at the Amarawati Community Forest in Janaki rural municipality-9, Kailali district, on Sunday.
The female adult tiger was found tied with wire, as shared by forester Ram Bahadur Rawal at the Sub-Division Office in Lamki.
Due to the malodorous scent emanating from the lifeless big cat, its death is estimated to have occurred several days ago, added the forester. Locals, who were in the forest collecting fodder, informed the police upon spotting the dead tiger.
Efforts are currently underway to transport the deceased tiger to the Forest Division Office in Pahalmanpur after recording the pertinent details, stated Sher Bahadur Bhandari, Chief of the Sub-Division Forest Office in Lamki.
