Royal speech ignored real issues: RJP

Kathmandu, February 2:

The Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) today said the King’s address to the nation has failed to address and represent the “genuine realities” of the country.

Saying that yesterday’s address has ignored most of the genuine issues, the party said the Royal address has not hinted at the possibility of ending the ongoing conflict. The party added that the political, economical and foreign affairs have been seriously affected during the past one year.

“The address has not even felt the need to accept the reality of the economy that has drastically declined over the past one year,” the party said. It said the address has “overlooked” the negative remarks coming from the international community.

RJP has reiterated its stance of an urgent and compulsory “consensus and working alliance” between the constitutional monarchy and the democratic forces to end the conflict. The party said, “Indications of forceful influence in bureaucracy have been noticed.”
