The YCL cadres on Monday beat up a cadre of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Dinesh Rai, resident

of Mantewa VDC-5 at Sombare bazaar at Mantemba-4 and prevented him from being taken to hospital.

YCL cadres armed with domestic weapons severely beat up Rai, RPP district secretary Hari Bahadur Karki said.

YCL cadres said they thrashed Rai for being involved in the publicity of RPP in the CA elections.

Maoist secretary Rajendra Karki Nabin claimed that Maoist cadres were not involved in the

incident.
