RPP-N not to send any lawmaker for feedback collection

KATHMANDU: The fourth largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA), Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N), decided to not to send any of its lawmakers to collect public feedback on the draft constitution.

A meeting of the party's parliamentary party held at Singhadurbar dubbed the process "meaningless" and just a "drama."

"The RPP-N lawmakers will not take part in the drama of feedback collection with the draft that has not ensured the Hindu nation," party Chairman Kamal Thapa tweeted after the meeting.

Thapa, however, maintained that "despite not participating in the meaningless feedback collection, the RPP-N will continue its constructive role in the constitution writing."

"The RPP-N will not block early promulgation of the constitution," he added.
