The Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal on Wednesday expressed solidarity with the Madhes agitation.

Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, chairman of Saptari unit of the party Shreeram Sharma said that the party has decided to assist the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, which is one of the three factions of the agitating United Madhes Democratic Front.

The party has charged the seven-party alliance with failing to shoulder the responsibility of holding free and fair CA polls. The party said the government was being a spectator to the frail security situation and scarcity of essential commodities. “The country’s future will be uncertain if the government, which has failed to fulfil its responsibility towards the people, remains at the helm of power,” he said.
