DPM Thapa's RPP-Nepal expels senior leader Keshar B. Bista

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa's Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal has expelled senior leader of the party, Keshar Bahadur Bista, accusing him of working against the party's interests.

The RPP-Nepal decided to suspend Bista from the party, including his general membership, for three years, according Co-Spokesperson of RPP-Nepal Mohan Shrestha.

Bista had recently criticised the party's top leadership and publicly demanded that the RPP-Nepal quit the KP Sharma Oli-led government.

In a tweet, Shrestha, who is close to party Chairman Kamal Thapa, wrote: The Birgunj meeting has decided to suspend Keshar B. Bista, who is involved in activities that are against the party's interests, including (his) general membership (of the party).
