RPP to restructure party organisation in line with new local bodies
KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) on Sunday decided to restructure the party organisation across the nation in line with the new local bodies to be formed after implementation of the Local Bodies Restructuring Commission.
The first meeting of the newly appointed party office-bearers presided over by Chairman Kamal Thapa held today made the decision, party spokesperson Sushil Bahadur Shrestha informed after the meeting.
The meeting has issued a seven-point directive to its local committees for the same, according to Shrestha.
Likewise, the meeting also decided to implement the local level elections preparation plan as endorsed by the party's Central Committee recently.
The party also decided that four top leaders of the party--Kamal Thapa, Lokendra Bahadur Chand, Pashupati Shamsher Rana and Prakash Chandra Lohani--will address mass meetings to held in Gorkha, Kanchanpur, Jhapa and Kathmandu districts respectively on March 20 as the party would launch the National Unity Journey.
The journey would conclude in Chitwan on March 25.
The party has assigned its office-bearers to lead the Journey in various zones.
