The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has unanimously selected Gyan Bahadur Shahi as the leader of its parliamentary party (PP).

A meeting of the party's Members of Parliament held on Thursday decided to appoint Shahi to the position. He was elected from Jumla under the first-past-the-post electoral system.

Similarly, the party has appointed Khusbu Oli as its chief whip. RPP General Secretary Rajendra Gurung stated that PP leader Shahi made the selection.

The RPP secured a total of five seats in the House of Representatives (HoR) elections held on March 5.
