RAJBIRAJ:

Two armed persons, identifying themselves as Maoists, looted Rs 236,000 belonging to the Rajbiraj branch office of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Monday.

The motorcycle-borne robbers stopped an office peon Badri Prasad Yadav, who was going to deposit the money in the bank, near Bhaluwahi Bridge in Rajbiraj-8 and snatched the money from him, Rajbiraj NEA office accountant Pramod Jha said.

A search for them is on, the police said. Meanwhile, police have taken into custody peon Yadav and another NEA employee Jageshwor Yadav who were assigned to take the money to the bank.
