Rs 30 million collected in Uttarbahini Mahayagya

RAMPUR, PALPA: Thirty million rupees was collected in donation from the Shreemad Bhagawat Mahayagya organised in Uttarbahini area near Kali Gandaki.

The Shreemad Bhagawat Mahayagya, organised on the banks of Kali Gandaki River in the bordering area of Palpa and Syangja districts, ended on Sunday collecting Rs 30 million, to be used toward building Gurukul Pathshala and Naturopathy.

According to Chairman of the Mahayagya main organising committee Shankar Prasad Pandey, properties worth Rs 8.1 million in cash and 22 ropani of land were received through the Mahayagya.

Similarly, many people have expressed their commitments to constructing an eight-roomed building and two gates for Gurukul Pathshala and Naturopathy in the area.

The yagya, which kicked off in a musical storytelling style by Pandit Chaitanya Krishna, had also been organised to foster the religious and tourism value of the area.
