Rs 64.45 million Indian grant for schools

The Indian Government has agreed to provide a financial assistance of Rs 64.45 million to three schools in Nawalparasi district. According to the District Development Committee (DDC), Nawalparasi, representatives of the Indian Embassy, DDC and schools signed separate agreements at a programme in Kathmandu today. According to the agreement, Rs 29.56 million will be provided to the Tribhuwan higher secondary school, Belatari, for the construction of a new building and additional classrooms as well as renovation of the old building. Likewise, Rs 19.40 million and Rs 15.49 million will be provided for Aadarsh secondary school and Pragati secondary school respectively. The money will be spent for the construction of school buildings and their maintenance. In a press release, the embassy has said that the assistance has been provided to promote educational standards in Nepal. Similarly, the embassy today donated a school bus to the Golden Future High School, Kavre. It has already donated seven buses to the various educational institutes.
