KATHMANDU, JUNE 5
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane, who is on a five-day visit to India, held talks with Sergio Gor in New Delhi on Thursday.
Following the meeting, Gor said in a social media post that discussions focused on strengthening the Nepal-US partnership. He stated that the United States values its friendship with Nepal and remains committed to working together on shared priorities that promote prosperity and opportunities for both countries.
The meeting came as part of Lamichhane's India visit at the invitation of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). During the visit, he also met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and other senior BJP leaders.
Gor had previously visited Nepal in April, when he held separate meetings with Lamichhane and other leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
Before returning to Nepal on Friday, Lamichhane visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and offered prayers along with members of his delegation.
The RSP delegation included Lamichhane's spouse Nikita Poudel, Co-General Secretary and lawmaker Bipin Acharya, lawmaker Deepak Bohara and Pradeep Acharya.
