KATHMANDU, MARCH 27
Amresh Kumar Singh, elected to the House of Representatives from Sarlahi-4, has declined an offer to join the Cabinet, according to reports.
Singh was proposed for the post of Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies by the Rastriya Swatantra Party. However, a party source said he chose to continue serving the country as a lawmaker rather than accept a ministerial position.
Singh had defeated Gagan Kumar Thapa in the February 21 parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, the Industry Ministry has been retained by Prime Minister Balen Shah himself.
