RUKUM: Police arrested a woman on charge of murdering her mother-in-law from Manma-5 in the district on Wednesday.

Police said that the suspect, identified as Sunita Khatri, admitted to strangling 72-year-old Bishnu Kumari Khatri over a dispute.

According to Sub Inspector Rupesh Khadka, Sunita said that the incident occurred on April 17 following a dispute that took place between her and Bishnu when she asked for permission to go to her parents.

Sunita's husband is in Saudi Arabia for employment.

Police said that investigation into the case was going on.
