KATHMANDU, June 6

The decision from Madhav Kumar Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist) to reshuffle cabinet has been postponed for now.

Ruling alliance meeting held today has decided not to reshuffle cabinet for the time-being.

CPN (US) had decided to recall four of its five ministers from the government and send new ministers in their place, on Sunday.

Minister of Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada, Minister of Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhakri, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale, Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha, and Minister of State for health and population Bhawani Khapung represent the CPN (US) in the Cabinet.

The party had recommended Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to appoint Jeevan Ram Shrestha as minister of culture, tourism, and civil aviation, Sher Bahadur Kunwar as minister of labour, employment, and social security, Metmani Chaudhary as minister of urban development, and Hira KC as minister of state for health and population.
