Rural roads to be black-topped in Panchthar

PHIDIM: Two roads in the district are set to be black-topped under the rural road network upgradation project.

Phidim-Chokmag-Shiwa-Nawamidanda and Phidim-Falot roads are going to be black-topped with the assistance (soft loan) of Asian Development Bank.

24.5 kilometres road of Phidim-Nawamidanda road section and 14.85 kilometers of Phidim-Falot road section will be upgraded with an investment of Rs 1.22 billion, according to Panchthar District Technical Office.

Chief Engineer at DTO Jayaram Shrestha informed that the contractors are already finalised through a global tender to carry out the construction work.

Government is upgrading as many as 16 roads in the country under the upgradation project.
