KATHMANDU, MARCH 7

The Nepali Congress Working Committee, Dolakha, has demanded the dismissal of Dujang Sherpa, the central president of Nepal Student Union.

Sending a letter to party Chair Sher Bahadur Deuba, NC, Dolakha Chair Barma Lama demanded dismissal of the chairman of NSU. In the letter, he demanded that Sherpa be sacked because he ignored the unanimous recommendation of the party and nominated a person who was not even an ordinary member to be selected as district president of Nepal Student Union.

In the letter, he said, "We demand the immediate dismissal of Dujang Sherpa, who has appointed the district president to fulfil his personal interest and crested controversy."

He mentioned in the letter that despite being a weak organisation, the district leadership has been involved in a campaign to eliminate various factions and run the student body in a conflict-free manner in Dolakha District.

In addition, he has also mentioned in the letter that those who intervened in the local elections and the election to the House of Representatives and the Province Assembly will be informed about the campaign to unify the party organisation systematically.
