BAJURA, JULY 27
Far-flung Sain area in Himali Rural Municipality, Bajura, which has the potential to attract a good number of tourists, is in a state of neglect for lack of promotion and preservation. Himali Rural Municipality Chairman Govinda Bahadur Malla said the area was in the shadows even though it was endowed with natural beauty. He said the Sain area was rich in medicinal herbs. The area is close to Saipal Himal and Dudhkunda.
The rural municipality executive had carried out feasibility study for developing it as a tourist destination two years ago. Agriculture JTA Juna Bista said the area was lagging behind in terms of development due to its hard terrain. She said people could not travel to the place with ease due to lack of good roads.
The area is losing its natural beauty due to lack of preservation. The state has not paid attention to promote the area.
Dhyan Bahadur Rokaya, a local of the rural municipality said the area could be promoted internationally if the government paid attention to its development.
