RATNANAGAR, CHITWAN: Salt Trading Corporation Limited in Chitwan has extended assistance to the children sheltered at the Chepang Conservation Centre in Gombensi to mark its 55th anniversary.

The Corporation cut short its unnecessary spending on anniversary day to provide food commodities to the Chepang children, said Buddhi Binod Dahal, section chief of Chiwan-based Salt Trading Corporation.

Dahal added that the corporation decided on elevating itself from the trend of collecting money among the employees to celebrate the anniversary and raise funds to provide meals to the poor people.

The corporation provided rice grains, lentils, peas and potatoes among other vegetables to 102 children at the centre.

Centre's Chief KP Kiran Sharma said the support has meant a great relief for the children facing a recent short supply of food commodities.
