RAJBIRAJ: Three houses were gutted in a fire in Yoginiya village of Saptari district on Wednesday.

Valuables worth Rs 1 million were destroyed.

The hay-roofed houses belonging to Shyam Sundar Khang in Saptari-2 were reduced to ashes.

The fire destroyed Rs 200,000 cash, silver jewellery, television set, mobile, furniture and food grains, the victim informed.

A fire brigade from the district headquarters Rajbiraj assisted by personnel deployed from the Hanumannagar-based Area Police Post and locals contained the fire.
