SAPTARI: A man was shot dead by an unidentified armed group in Lojahar VDC 8, Saptari on Monday. His body was recovered from a river near Trilok 3.

The deceased has been identified as Islam Miya, a local resident of Lohazar VDC 8.

His family have not been able to contact him since Sunday.

An investigation is underway to find out more details.
