SC’s order on student leaders

Kathmandu, March 22:

The Supreme Court today issued an order to the government authorities including the Home Ministry, the Police Headquarters and the Kathmandu District Administration Office demanding their explanations within 48 hours on why they detained some student leaders. A single bench of justice Balram KC issued the order to the authorities to submit the explanation regarding the arrest of president of Nepal Student Union affiliated with the Nepali Congress (Democratic), Kishor Singh Rathour and All Nepal National Free Students Union leaders affiliated with the UML Madhav Dhungel and Kedar Adhikary following today’s hearing. Advocate Dinesh Tripathi pleaded on behalf of the arrested student leaders.
