BHOJPUR: An on duty policeman was injured after being hit by a scooter in Dharan of Sunsari district on Tuesday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, Constable Rakesh Thapa got his both legs fractured after he was hit by the two-wheeler (Ko 11 Pa 1200) at Dharan Municipality-6 yesterday night.

Police said that Thapa is receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.

Police have impounded the scooter and arrested its rider for investigation.
