Scouts jamboree to be held in Nuwakot
Kathmandu, May 18
The third international Scouts jamboree is going to be held at the International Training Centre of Nepal Scouts in Kakani, Nuwakot, from May 30 to June 4.
The second jamboree was organized at Tikauli in Chitwan under the initiative of Nepal Scouts four years ago. The first jamboree was held in 2043 BS in Kirtipur. The objective of the jamboree is to enhance the skills and capacity of the scouts.
It is expected that such jamboree will be a milestone for Nepal Scouts. Around 5,000 people associated with the Scouts movement from within the country and abroad are expected to participate in the jamboree. The Ministry of Youth and Sports has allocated Rs 20 million for the jamboree. The jamboree would be helpful in promoting world scout norms.
