Scrapped office reinstated

District Livestock Service Office that was scrapped during state restructuring has been reinstated.

The reinstated office, which is under the provincial government, is now renamed as Livestock Hospital and Livestock Service Office.

Secretary at Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry of the provincial government Rajendra Bhari, Chief District Officer Janakraj Panta and acting mayor of Bheri Municipality Bhawana Bhandari jointly inaugurated the office amidst a ceremony today.

“The reinstated office won’t operate in conventional way, but will function more effectively and will provide better service to the farmers,” said the secretary.

Acting Mayor Bhandari said the reinstated office would be of great relief to the farmers who would otherwise have to reach Rukum to seeking medical help for cattle.
