KAVRE:  Some 1,900 earthquake victims in Kavre have received the second instalment of the housing grant provided by the government. “Of the families who had sought the second instalment, 114 were helped by non-government organisations, and preparations to provide the fund to 400 other families was underway,” said Chief District Engineer Loknath  Regmi of Kavre. Of the families whose houses were destroyed in the 2015 earthquake, the government has so far signed the contract for housing grant with 63,342 families.

Of them, 60,959 families received the first instalment from the government, the other 2,372 families were assisted  by different non-government organisations.
