President Bhandari to visit her alma mater at Bhojpur
BHOJPUR: Security arrangements have been beefed up for President Bidya Devi Bhandari's visit here in the district headquarters. The Head of the State is scheduled to arrive in Bhojpur for the inauguration of 50th anniversary of Bhojpur Multiple Campus on Wednesday.
According to DSP Raj Kumar Lamsal of the District Police Office, security personnel from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force (APF), Nepali Army and the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) have been deployed to make necessary arrangements for the President's security.
The Campus, a constituent campus of the Tribhuvan University (TU), has invited its alumnus President Bhandari for the opening ceremony.
On the occasion, President Bhandari will felicitate the alumni who have made significant contributions to the country serving in higher posts, informed Hemanta Rai, Campus Chief and co-ordinator of the organising committee.
In the programme, the Campus will honour the President as well, said Rai.
Also Minister for Information and Communications Technology Sherdhan Rai, former ministers, lawmakers, top security officials, principals, IGP, litterateurs, actors and national players representing Bhojpur will also be honoured.
Total cost of the programme is estimated to be around Rs 1.15 million.
