Security forces will be deployed in four levels for the November 20 election to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies, in Ramechhap. As many as 2,500 security forces, including personnel of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepali Army, and temporary police, will be deployed for the elections.
According to District Police Office, Ramechhap, the security team will be deployed to execute the elections in a peaceful, free and fearless manner. Police said the temporary police would be deployed in the first level, Nepali Police in the second level, APF in the third level, and NA in the fourth level.
DPO Chief Raj Kumar Thing said preparation was under way to deploy security forces in four different tiers.
He added that around 650 Nepal Police and 1,100 temporary police and APF and NA would be deployed. Temporary police was deployed in the station just after Tihar festival with the completion of training. Thing said more security forces would be deployed compared to local level elections. "Four voting centres have been added for the upcoming election in the district," he said. He added that the security team had been expanded taking into account security sensitivity for the elections.
Earlier, several clashes and untoward activities had taken place in some voting centres in the local level elections.
"Keeping all these in mind, security management has been tightened to hold elections in a free, fair and fearless manner in this election," said police. As many as 96 voting centres and 226 voting stations have been fixed for the same.
