Security tightened

Damauli: As the festive season approaches, Tanahun police have tightened security across the district. According to SP Krishna Kumar Mahat at District Police Office, Tanahu , police have taken steps to control incidents of loot, theft, public brawls, and other criminal activities during the upcoming Dashain and Tihar festivals. Plainclothes police personnel have been deployed to patrol the areas at night and day in the district, SP Mahat informed. Information Officer DSP Surendra Bahadur Gurung said that police have been actively working to avoid possible crimes in the district. He said that a police team has started to check border areas. He added that the police have urged locals to inform them immediately if they see any suspicious activity. Police said that they have been preparing to launch a public awareness campaign for the same. Police informed that the campaign would help maintain peace and security during the festivals.
