Settle Madhes issue even by making changes in the state delineation: RPP Chairman Rana
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Pashupati Shamsher Rana on Wednesday said that the major political parties should be ready to settle state delineation issue after splitting and including Kailali district and some other districts of the east in the Madhes province.
Speaking at the Deusi-Bhailo cultural programme organised by Reporters' Club on the occasion of Tihar festival in the Capital today, Rana said that there should not be any delay in addressing the demands of the Madhes and that the failure of settling the problems has shown weakness of both Nepal and India.
Blind patriotism cannot help sort out any problem, he said, adding that the exiting political problems should be resolved through diplomatic channel.
On a different context, Rana said that the visit of Foreign Minister to New Delhi shortly after the formation of the new government is not a mature step.
He said that the woes of April 25 earthquake survivors is deepening further in lack of the reconstruction works in place, and suggested the government to implement the reconstruction bill at the earliest.
