The government has blacklisted seven construction companies.

Issuing a notice today, the Public Procurement Monitoring Office blacklisted seven companies, stating that they had failed to complete development projects on time as per the contract.

A meeting of the office held yesterday decided to blacklist the construction companies for one to three years effective from today as per the Section 63 (1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2007.

Arogya Construction Pvt Ltd, Maharajgunj of Kathmandu, was blacklisted for three years as per the recommendation of Infrastructure Development Office, Salyan of Karnali Province.

Similarly, Diagnose Jay Sambhu JV, Handigaun of Kathmandu was blacklisted for two years on the recommendation of Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, Ghorahi of Dang district.

Among the others blacklisted for one year are Tulasipur-based Balan Brothers Construction and Suppliers, Bardan Consultant and Construction Pvt Ltd, Anamnagar-based Green Take Project Pvt Ltd, SNC Construction Service Pvt Ltd, Sonari of Banke and Shah Construction Service Company of Rupandehi.

The blacklisted companies will not be allowed to participate in the purchase and construction services called by the government bodies in the blacklisted period.
