Itahari, January 20 :

Police last night arrested seven persons on charge of murdering 18-year-old Milan Rai of Bhulke Chowk in Itahari municipality.

The Itahari Area Police Office arrested Tiger Rai, Japan Rai, Pradip Rai, Shankar Magar, Bikash Rai, Bishnu Magar and Rajan Acharya. “An altercation occurred between Milan Rai’s group and another group over eve-teasing last night, leading to stabbing of Milan by Tiger Rai,” said police inspector Bishwomani Pokharel. Critically injured Milan died while being taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.

Tiger and other arrested have confessed their crime, Pokharel said.
