The number of Nepali weeklies published and distributed in Malaysia has reached seven.

The Nepali weeklies published and distributed in Malaysia are: Shram Saptahik, Jana-Pristhabhumi, Shree Abhilekh, Nepal Sandesh, Hamro Aawaj, Nawa Kantipur and Nabodit.

Among the seven weeklies, the Nawa Kantipur and the Nabodit weeklies have started their publications just a week ago.

Local intellectuals, entrepreneurs and labourers have taken the rise in the number of Nepali newspapers positively, saying it will promote Nepali culture and rights of Nepali workers in Malaysia.
