BHOJPUR: A 68-year-old pedestrian has died on the spot after being hit by a bus in Itahari-24, Sunsari on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Dhan Maya Thapa, a permanent resident of Phalante-3, Dhankuta.

According to the Biratnagar-based East Regional Police Office, the bus (Ko 1 Kha 3841) was heading towards Itahari from Dharan when the incident happened.

The driver has been taken under control for further investigation, informed the Itahari Area Police Office.
