KATHMANDU: A 65-year-old pedestrian died in a bus hit case in Dhaijan-6 of Jhapa district on Tuesday afternoon.

Dil Bahadur Tamang from Kankai Municipality-2 of Jhapa was hit by the bus (Ga 1 Kha 4456) in Kalijhoda forest section in the district.

Seriously injured in the accident, Tamang was rushed to the B&C Hospital, Birtamod, where he died in the course of treatment.

Police said they impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver for further investigation.
