Hira Dhoj Shah has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Rupandehi following the party's 10th District Convention, which concluded on Sunday.

The convention elected a 67-member district executive committee under Shah's leadership through consensus. A seasoned political figure, Shah vowed to strengthen the party's presence in Rupandehi and lead it towards greater organizational efficiency by fostering unity among all factions.

Earlier, Shah had also served as the presient of the Hotel Prefessional Federation Nepal.

According to Election Committee Chairperson Parsuram Ghimire, the convention also unanimously elected Aviram Bishwakarma and Mira Shrestha as Vice Chairs, while Tank Prasad Pokhrel was elected as Secretary. Similarly, Ram Bahadur Basnet, Baburam Aryal, and Sharda Pahari were elected as Deputy Secretaries.

The committee was formed in accordance with the party's statute, ensuring inclusive representation. The elected members were formally certified in the presence of the Election Committee.

A presidential panel led by Politburo Member Nandalal Banjade oversaw the selection process, with Politburo Member Abdul Hussein Khan and Central Members Siddhicharan Bhattarai, Bhagwati Ghimire, Uma Kafle, Laxmi Bhusal, and Babulal Yadav serving as panel members.

The convention, which commenced on Saturday, concluded with a closed session on Sunday. CPN (Unified Socialist) General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal inaugurated the event on Saturday.
