Shambhu Lal Shrestha appointed state minister
Kathmandu, November 7
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed Shambhu Lal Shrestha as minister of state for livestock development.
According to the prime minister’s personal secretary Keshab Joshi, Shrestha was appointed state minister for livestock development today.
Earlier, Goma Kunwar from the CPN-Maoist Centre held the portfolio. Shrestha had recently quit the CPN-MC to join the Nepali Congress. He was in the Nepali Congress before the 2013 Constituent Assembly elections. He had won the election from Sarlahi district as a CPN-MC candidate.
Shrestha had been left without portfolio after the PM stripped all ministers from the CPN-MC of their portfolios. Shrestha is also contesting the parliamentary elections from Sarlahi-1 as NC candidate.
