GALESHWOR: Properties worth around Rs 400,000 were destroyed in a fire that engulfed a shed at Annapurna Rural Municipality-6 of Myagdi district on Tuesday night.

According to police, the shed used for mourning was burnt down after straws placed inside caught fire from the stove used for cooking.

According to local Suren Gurung, a meal was being prepared when the fire spread.

The fire was taken under control with the help of Nepal Army personnel, police and villagers.
