ILLAM: Minister for Local Development Purna Kumar Sherma informed on Wednesday that the vacant posts in the local bodies will be filled after Tihar.

Speaking at a programme organised by the district committee of the Nepali Congress in Illam headquarters, he expressed anger at the practice of the Maoist cadres to greet ministers with black flags. He said that it was those who use weapons that wave black flags. One could not expect anything else as they have made it their tradition to show black flags. His comments followed his arrival at the programme when he was greeted with black flags.

He also expressed confidence in drafting the constitution in the stipulated time by finding a way out of this political transitional phase.
