KANCHANPUR: An official of the Shuklaphanta National Park was injured after he was hit by a bus in Kanchanpur along the East-West Highway on Tuesday.

The injured official has been identified as Narendra Kunwar (25), who is working as a conservationist in the Park.

According to Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Jagat Bahadur Malla of Jhalari Area Police Office, Kunwar was hit by the bus (Na 5 Kha 9647), which was en route to Bhimduttanagar from Arjuni Barrack.

Injured Kunwar was rushed to the Mahakali Zonal Hospital for treatment. He has been referred to Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh of India for further treatment.

Police have impounded the vehicle and detained its driver.
