Signing of bilateral agreement between CIAA, Malaysia's Anti Corruption Commission pushed back
KATHMANDU: The signing of a bilateral agreement between the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and Malaysia's Anti Corruption Commission has been delayed.
Earlier, CIAA Chief Commissioner Lokman Singh Karki was scheduled to embark on Malaysia visit from January 18 in course of signing the agreement, but the visit was cancelled due to technical reasons, putting off the signing. Spokesperson for the Commission Krishnahari Pushkar confirmed the cancellation of Karki's visit to Malaysia.
However, a seven-member team headed by CIAA Joint Secretary Jeevan Prakash Niroula is in Malaysia since the past few days to take the stock of the state of affairs of the Nepali migrant workers there, said the CIAA .
