Sindhuli surveyor caught red-handed with bribe from quake survivor

SINDHULIMADHI: A surveyor has been arrested red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 22,500 from a service seeker in Kamalamai Municipality of Sindhuli district.

Regional Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Raj Kumar Lamsal, said surveyor Santosh Kumar Shrestha was arrested along with the kickback.

Lamsal further said Shrestha had taken the bribe from an earthquake survivor assuring the service seeker of extending the area of his land by six metres.

Meanwhile, Shrestha would be booked as per the Prevention of the Corruption Act, 2002, informed Lamsal.
