Bagmati Province Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today visited Sindhuligadi, the historic site in Sindhuli.

CM Poudel who had reached Sindhuligadi this morning also observed the War Museum and Rani Durbar rebuilding project. On the occasion, he said the government had invested to keep history alive and the establishment of the museum would help the district's development.

The chief minister believed that promotion of tourism in such historic sites would help improve people's income and living standard. He said the need of a security unit here was realised for the security of the museum established to keep Nepal's glorious history alive and promised to work out for the same upon reaching Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati.

On the occasion, he sought further dissemination of the museum and Rani Durbar. He called for ensuring quality construction of Rani Durbar.

Kamalamai Municipality Deputy Mayor Manju Devkota apprised the chief minister of the plans formulated for the development of the museum, Rani Durbar and Sindhuligadi.

The protection and publicity of Sindhuligadi was the priority of the local government, she said.

The local representative took time to urge the chief minister to allocate budget for the management, risk reduction and the loss mitigation of monsoon-related disasters in the municipality.
