Siraha college re-opens after 6-month lock-down

SIRAHA: Surya Narayan Satya Narayan Morwaita Yadav Multiple Campus based in Siraha district has re-opened today after a 6-month-long lockdown.

The campus office was unlocked after a seven-point agreement was reached between All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) and college administration on February 25. The lock-down had been imposed from the third week of September 2017, informed Sudan Kusiyait, Chairperson of ANNFSU.

Kusiyait said the two parties came to an agreement after the administration pledged to fulfill their demands, including control of unlawful appointments, promoting economic transparency, cancellation of fee hikes, maintenance of financial transparency, and improvements in education quality, within mid-march.

He also accentuated that protests shall be ensued if the administration by any chance fails to meet their demands within the specified time.

College Head Krishna Kumar Yadav assured that he would sincerely work on the promises to combat all kinds of problems revolving the college, which has seen adverse impact on its education since the lock-down.
