Siraha, August 4:

Pointing to growing incidents of abduction, extortion and threat to life, teachers and employees of government offices based in Siraha district have decided to launch an agitation today.

Speaking at a press conference, the employees said they took the move as security personnel failed to ensure their safety and control crime. They appealed to political parties, district administration, security personnel, industrialists, entrepreneurs, civil society and the government to address their concerns. All government offices based in Siraha and Lahan will be shut during the agitation, president of the joint agitation committee Pradip Kumar Goit said.
